Francisco Vidal is an actor, assistant director and filmmaker based in Rio de Janeiro. Trained in Film at ESPM, his entry into the audiovisual world happened first from within the fabric of filmmaking: through translation, post-production, editing and attentive engagement with the process.
In 2023, while working with Paula Gaitán on the post-production of O Canto das Amapolas, winner of the Mostra Olhos Livres at the Festival de Cinema de Tiradentes, he grew close to Clara Choveaux, Negro Leo and Gregório Gananian.
In the second half of 2024, he shot O Mundo dos Mortos in Rio de Janeiro, directed by Pedro Tavares, produced by 7 a 1 Filmes and Cavideo, a feature shown at the Mostra Olhos Livres of the Festival de Cinema de Tiradentes in 2025.
In acting, he seeks presence, listening and precision — a body attentive to the other, to space, to silence and to the singular rhythm of each director.
